Meet Vanessa Empire
Why do I do what I do? To me, the answer’s simple, your home is the launchpad for the rest of your life. And if I design an interior that gives you everything you need, and it’s all in the right place, and it’s all incredibly beautiful, then I believe you can meet life inside your home, and outside it, with ease and grace. And what better way is there to spend my days than designing those homes?
As the only child to a single mother who was an award winning fashion designer and couturier, I always felt I was born into a school where great design mattered. Sitting at my mother’s side, I learned about the importance of line, the impact of color and how to create balance and accentuate forms. Today, I apply these principles to interior design, creating homes for my clients that fit them as perfectly as a couture suit. They’ll always be timeless, stylish, and with respect for tradition.…but also with a little edge.
I continued my formal education at the Art Institute, opening my own workroom where I upholstered furniture and fabricated window treatments, while still in school. While completing my degree, I worked under a Colorado Based Architectural firm focusing on the interiors of large scale mountain properties. After earning my degree in Interior Design, I gained experience working with Colorado-based interior design firms.
In 2016 I launched Vanessa Empire Interiors. Through time and growth of my firm, I now lead a team of incredibly talented persons who believe, like I do, in the importance of sustainable design and working with, and being inspired by, nature. We also share the belief that your home should be a soft place to land, a beautiful place to celebrate, and an effortless way to do everything in between. Together we work to bring awe and magic to our clients’ homes.

When I am not running my firm, I’m likely to be volunteering in my community through the Denver Junior League, or working to raise awareness for Anschutz Medical Labs, and specifically their work in adenocarcinoma. I’m always seeing inspiration through culture and art, travel and nature, which is why you’ll often find me on a hiking trail with Daniel, my fiance, and our 3 dogs, Oscar, Armani and Chanel.
